Announcing that all server product lines will support the latest 3rd Gen AMD EPYC™ processors with AMD 3D V-Cache™ technology to accelerate key computing workloads and drive data center innovation.
Currently #1 in the SPEC CPU® 2017 and SPECjbb® 2015 benchmarks on SPEC.org, it has established itself as a performance leader and maintains the superiority of ASUS servers.

Record performance demonstrated by SPEC.org [1]

ASUS topped 14 of the top 16 SPEC CPU benchmarks 2017 thanks to the benefits of the 3rd Gen AMD EPYC™ processor with AMD 3D V-Cache™, which has the performance of a computing leader.
In particular, the ASUS RS720A-E11 server with dual AMD EPYC™ 7773X, the best processor in the series, recorded the world’s highest score of 745 SPECrate® 2017_fp_base.
The RS520A-E11, a similar server with a single AMD EPYC™ 7773X processor, achieved a record score of 374 SPECrate® 2017_fp_base.
Additionally, ASUS won the first three items of the SPECjbb 2015 (Composite/MultiJVM) benchmark of Java server performance with the RS700A-E11-RS12U powered by two 7733X processors.
The results show that ASUS servers continue to take the lead in the latest AMD EPYC™ processors, delivering exceptional performance to the server industry.

Free BIOS update for compatibility with all ASUS server products

ASUS supports the 3rd Generation AMD EPYC™ processor lineup by offering both dual-socket RS720A and RS700A and single-socket RS520A and RS500A servers.
The TDP can be selected from 240W to 280W, the number of cores can be selected from 16 to 64, and all are equipped with the latest 768MB L3 cache.

ASUS GPU server products, ESC8000A and ESC4000A series, support up to four dual-slot AMD Instinct™ accelerators, Xilinx FPGA accelerator cards and NVIDIA GPUs, and can be optimized for AI, learning in depth and HPC workloads.
All models support drop-in, and a simple BIOS update gives you all the features of the latest 3rd Gen AMD EPYC™ processors with AMD 3D V-Cache™.
This not only ensures compatibility with the latest AMD platforms, but also improves performance and stability.

The world’s highest performance processor for technical computing [2]

AMD EPYC™ 7003 Series processors with AMD 3D V-Cache™ technology triple the amount of L3 cache available per socket, 768 MB, compared to the EPYC 7003 Series without 3D stacking.
This allows you to reduce time to results for targeted workloads such as EDA, CFD, FEA software and solutions while maintaining socket compatibility with existing AMD EPYC 7003 platforms.

The latest EPYC™ 7003 series processors with AMD 3D V-Cache™ have the same shared memory as other 3rd Gen EPYC™ families by increasing the L3 cache pool closer to the core with lower latency than memory main.It uses the architecture.
This allows customers to take full advantage of up to 96 MB of L3 cache per CCD, even on traditional processors with low core counts, without sacrificing performance.
