This time, the basic theory “Motion DNA” which scientifically determines the walking motion and the product design concept “MIZUNO ADAPT” which solves the problems of various physical activities in daily life are newly added.
The basic theory “Motion DNA” is a theory that can estimate how to walk and the functions and parts necessary for walking based on biomechanical analysis and physical function analysis. In a joint research conducted by Mizuno and Professor Akira Iwata from the School of Community Health, Osaka Prefectural University, it was recently found that walking types can be categorized into four types, and body parts and use used when walking differ depending on the type. By analyzing the ability and type of walking of each person with “Motion DNA”, it is possible to provide suitable products and services.
“MIZUNO ADAPT” is a product design concept that promotes more comfortable everyday life by using technology cultivated in the sports scene. Clothing and training items that use “MIZUNO ADAPT” will be on sale from March 25 at Mizuno-operated stores, official Mizuno online stores, and retailers of Mizuno products.
Mizuno will improve the quality of life (QOL) of ordinary consumers and extend healthy life expectancy through the realization of “POWERED LIFE”.※1We will contribute to the solution.
